This part-time job depends on your school, but most schools do hire teacher assistants to help them with tasks throughout the school term. If you are someone who is on top of your course and has excellent organizational skills then this is the one for you. However, you need to have completed at least a year of your course before you can apply for this position.
This is a notch above your server/bar-tending gig, but you do need to remember that there are no tips that you will get with this job. On the flip side, you have a great opportunity to learn how to make great coffee and that is something that is always appreciated.
For a lot of people, this is like a dream job. Working professionals are often short on time to take their furry friends for a walk. So, you get paid to do something that you like. If you live in one of the bigger Canadian cities you will have to apply for a municipal license and then you can finally just hit the street with someone else’s pooch.
Now, this one is a great way to earn some money on the side, the pay is great as well. But the problem most people often run into is that you need a car to be able to apply to be an Uber or Lyft driver. However, if you can’t afford a vehicle, you can try to become a bicycle courier instead. The pay is about CA$17/Hour. But it is easier to buy and maintain a bicycle.
You will often find people making CA$25 or above as a freelancer. You can be anything. A writer, a web designer, graphic designer, etc. If you can get the clientele and deliver, there is not a better job out there.
